Moomers in top 4 in Good Morning America’s Ice Cream Challenge

Traverse City's own Moomers Homemade Ice Cream may soon be the country's top pick for America's favorite summer treat. The local, family-owned business was chosen by Good Morning America Weekend as one of the country's top shops in the program's national Ice Cream Challenge. Moomers is one of four finalists chosen by the ABC morning show. The other three are located in Boston, MA, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Sacramento, CA.

Announcement of the "final four" will be featured on Good Morning America Weekend on Sunday, May 18, during the 8-9 a.m. segment, along with video footage and on-site interviews conducted at Moomers earlier this week.

Following the announcement, viewers and ice cream lovers across the United States can vote for their favorite ice cream store and help choose the winner of the Good Morning America Ice Cream Challenge. Voting continues through Friday, May 23. The winner will be announced on Saturday, May 24 on Good Morning America. There are no limits to ballots. Voters can send in their choices as many times as they wish.
